Narnia Advent 1 - Queen Jadis and the deplorable word PREORDER FOR ADVENT

Theme 1: Villains!!!

A delightfully creepy story from the Magician's Nephew, the Origin story. Digory and Polly  find themselves in the dying world of Charn, a once magnificent world of opulence, ruled by giants. The children, there by magic, discover a long line of frightening characters, who it seems are sleeping in a trance

Of course, there is a small bell on a table in front of them that says "do not ring me" and of course, it's the BOY who can't resist it. He strikes the bell and before they know it the evil Queen Jadis is awoken, and ALL the troubles begin, as evil is brought into the world.

This is a wonderful gothic story, an allegory of the temptation of Adam. the regal queen is bedecked in purples and greens; Royal purple and the green symbolising the temptation of Adam by the snake.

What do you get with this advent?

6 x miniskiens in a fade of the purple to Green through teal. These are tonal, not quite solids, but will have some speckles and a bit of life to them, in a similar way Madrigal Yarns kit colours work.

2 x 100g skeins of variegated complementary colours (these will be different to each other as well) that will be from the same colour palette and work well with these mini skeins.

A unique Madrigal Yarns Original Pattern. This will be for a shawl that incorporates all the yarn and is designed especially for this advent!
