HEPWORTH SET 3 2025 ADVENT PREORDER

Thank you for stopping in to purchase the Madrigal Yarns 2025 Yarn Advent.

We didn't do an advent last year, so this one is particularly special. The theme is Barbara Hepworth and her incredible landscape sculptures. The ideas float around the distinctive sculptures titled "the Family of Man" a multi piece installation from 1970 (my birth year!) which is found at the Yorkshire Sculpture park in Wakefield, where Barbara Hepworth was born in 1903.

This is a specially dyed Ombre skein, which will complement the colours of the set 1 and Set 2. The unique pattern will be for a complementary hat.

Due to the difficult nature of hand dyeing ombre yarn, this will be available to purchase only on request to customers who also purchase sets 1 and 2.

The colour palette is focued around the metallic cool colours of the steel and bronze that she worked with, coupled with tones of warm stone and natural ochres. The four colours of this weekly advent work beautifully together to create a unique cowl either in knit or crochet, the pattern will be included in the set along with some signature notion.

The yarns will be dyed and produced in September of 2025 and dissipated in November, ready for advent to begin on December 1. Closing date to subscribe to this event is August 31.
