Pattern and Yarn Kit: Suddenly, Last Summer

This is a very easy and beginner level project to make a delightfully light summer shawl. The kit includes the yarn and the Pattern only. You will need to have your own needles. It can be worked in straight needles or a circular needle if preferred.

Inspired by the images of Elizabeth Taylor frolicking in the surf in the 1959 film “Suddenly, Last Summer” the colours used in this are pale and mid blues, evoking the freshness of the beach. The bold colour blocks are very simply defined between rows of garter stitch knitting, with a repeating yarn over lace stitch row at regular intervals.
